Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico! I grew up in a household that loved music. When I was 14 going on 15 years of age, I began listening to °µºÚÍø. It was this experience that cemented my love for radio and especially the free-form nature of the DJ’s production. Daily I discovered new musical artists that just had to be added to my personal music library. Wherever I have traveled, I have sought out ‘good radio stations’ to satisfy my quest to hear and collect great music!

Giovanna is President/Owner of Collective Action Strategies LLC and is Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Family & Community Medicine and Women’s Studies Program at the University of New Mexico. Giovanna received her masters degree in Public Policy and Public Administration from the London School of Economics, and her bachelors degree from the University of New Mexico in Latin American Studies and Spanish. Formerly the executive director of the New Mexico Women’s Health Office, Giovanna has been working on public health and social justice policy issues for 16 years.

Marisa Demarco began a career in radio at °µºÚÍø News in late 2013 and covered public health for much of her time at the station. She joined Source New Mexico as editor-in-chief in 2021.
